Our institute carries out environmental measurements on behalf of the Walloon region for national and international research projects or even for the public and private sectors. The ISSeP develops tools allowing this data to be mapped for the municipalities. Each municipality can offer citizens the following environmental data via the website: Water quality, air quality, soil quality, geology, waste, pollution, electromagnetic fields, urbanisation, risks, etc. This is a customised service allowing the visualisation of local or municipal data (satellite data, measurement data, localisation, modelling, etc.), all presented in the form of detailed maps. This data is used to better understand, better react, and better consider urban development in order to avoid risk situations or damage to the environment and health. It also provides citizens with access to data and the development of an environmental culture.
