APPORT

Context

Launched by the Governor of the Province of Hainaut in 2010, the APPORT project forms part of the Interreg IV “France-Wallonia-Vlaanderen” 2009-2012 project in its priority number 3: “Performing common and integrated actions for daily cross-border life”.
Security affects the lives of our fellow citizens in many ways. Although the response capacity of the security and civil protection services is never lacking in cross-border emergencies, APPORT aims for better coordination and continuous exchange of information between authorities. Crisis management methods, the regulations and the organisation of the rescue services are quite different on both sides of the Franco-Belgian border.
The ISSeP is an active partner in this project and works to assess cross-border technological risks.
